Smoothie a day keeps the doctor away!

Wish that the title was true... Maybe it is, since I haven't actually had a smoothie per day, but right now feels like nothing is helping this flu of mine... 2nd flu this autumn! why oh why. Well today I was in the store and just got inspired by some reduced mint leaves. Grabbed those and some lime and voila! (few other ingredients added). Thought this smoothie might give a bit of a vitamin as well as energy boost as I have been feeling quite tired and ill for the past few days.

Smoothies are really great, so much can go into them but you barely notice because once everything is in liquid form its so much easier to consume. Also this allows all the goodness to be absorbed better in your body. Ingredients which you might never eat otherwise, can easily be added to a shake and make it taste alright. (spinach, kale, celery, ginger etc.)

Heres my smoothie for the day.

 Ingredients:

1 banana
about a cup of frozen raspberries
coconut milk
half a squeezed lime
mint (depend on preference)

Reminiscing Russia...

This post goes out to everyone who's moved around and especially to those whom live, or have lived in Russia. I was sad to leave my home country when I first heard at the age of 10 that me and my family might be off to live in Moscow, Russia... I couldn't have thought of a worst thing. Now I am happy and grateful to have called Russia my home for 8 years. To say the least, it was a change of a lifetime. The adaptation took a while not gonna lie, but its this process thats made me who I am today.

Moscow... Oh that sweet Moscow that so many fear and many wont see. Moscow wont probably be picked as the #1 choice for a vacation, but I miss it. The noise, the pollution, the traffic, the language, the people, yes part of what makes Russia, I do sometimes miss it now. Because beneath all small faults lies something greater... A country so old and full of history, great and terrible, fascinating and exciting, beautiful in its own way.

8 years I spend there. 8 Wonderful and eventful years I wouldn't change at all.

There are its ups and downs like everywhere, but for the most part, you know youve found something great when you cant stop thinking about it. I would have never thought that I would have learnt to love something that in my home country, some people despise. Yes I have my hatred towards the history between our countries, and I am 100% Finnish and always will be. But Russia will hold a place with me forever.
