The Chuck Taylor Legacy

I do love Converse. They are so classic and usable with so many outfits. It is odd to think that they were used for basketball and other sports such as tennis, back in the day . In the words of Converse "The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker became the court sneaker; it stood for the game." Shoes are boring. Wear Sneakers. 

It was about time I bought new Converse. 

I would really love them in a burgundy for summer.

Old and New

Valentines Day

As you know that day of the year is approaching.... February 14th, Valentines Day, Couples Day, OR Friendship Day (as we call it in Finland, which I find more appropriate sometimes). It has become more of a commercial day... A good day for restaurants, florists, chocolatiers, jewelers and any store for that matter... But I do like the day. This day does not mean you need to be in a relationship, and hating the day if you are not in one is a little bit wrong. Love comes in many forms and I believe it is a good day to show your love for those that matter and are important in your life. In the darkness of february and winter, the warmth and tenderness of a little hug even, can be so joyful. No need to have a fancy dinner or send cards to everyone, but just to let the people in your life know that you appreciate their presence. 

On another note, I am a little sad on this particular Valentines Day... as my significant other is going to be in a different country and I cannot take advantage of all the commercial goodies out there with him! But all is good, we just enjoyed a week long date and will be seeing each other soon. 

IF I was to go for a dinner I was thinking of some outfits... This being one of them. (too casual?)
