lucky day

Today whilst carrying out a few errands in town I was reminded that today (thursday), topshop were celebrating their new store openings in Glasgow. For the celebration they are hosting DJ's, having little surprise gift bags, and special treats in store. As well as handing out gift cards on the streets worth between £5- £250 in them. I was lucky to grab a £20 one and thus went straight on in to look what to buy. 

I found a black cami with a twist that was £26 and with student discount I only then ended up paying £3.40, WHAT A DEAL! Definitely love Glasgow shopping, AND their great student friendly prices. Along with this amazing deal, I got to bring home with me an exclusive topshop bag that came along when you made a purchase. Gotta love canvas bags, they fit everything and anything in them, and they are easy to pack as they don't take too much space. 

Also went through Body shop to find a few selected body butters down to £5 from £13, and so invested in one as I just ran out of lotion. (bargain!)

One of those days when all you wanna do is stay in your pj's, but gotta look somewhat decent to go out and get things sorted so just gonna pull on the most comfortable shoes, jeans, simple t shirt and a sweater.

So many things to buy! and so little money... I want to start work as soon as possible, and I really should've gotten a part time job in Glasgow while studying. I did try! but not really hard enough... And well there is the problem that I like to go home ever so often so I probably couldn't hold a position for long. Anyway, I already have a list of things that I would like to buy, but cant necessarily do it yet. Good thing I am going home late april so I'll have the whole of May to work, and beginning of June when those wages do come in, I can start spending! 

Just a few things on my wishlist:

Denim shorts (maybe a little high waisted)

Summer tops (short sleeves and not black)

Training bag 

Been thinking about New balance sneakers

Trench coat 

Summer going out dress/ skirt

Flip flops (my havaianas broke last summer)

Lomakuume, or otherwise known as Holiday Fever is what is I have right now. I am so ready to just pack my bags and go someplace warm... Somewhere with a beach, crystal clear waters and sand as soft as silk. The cold weather has gotten the best of me, and although I have managed to stay healthy (no flu for this semester!) I need the warmth and sunshine, oh and a little tan wouldn't kill. It was probably the beginning of this week that got me to really set my mind to this as it has been such sunny days in Glasgow (mind that these only come around a few times a year).

I do love the Finnish summer, nothing wrong with it at all, and Im going there soon yay! So whats the hurry? Well its not summer yet in Finland... and it wont be for a while. It really starts to hit only July... Must say for those who have never been to Finland, summer's are really something else. 

I am going to be starting work right away as well once I go back home so it might be hard to just get up and go... But we can plan right? And I really do hope that I get to go somewhere during the summer, meaning a holiday, in a different country.

The semester at university is coming to an end. Last classes were held last week and now its just assessments to hand in until summer starts for me oh and I've still got placement left after which I will be heading back to Finland. 

Hoping for a warm and good summer this year with loads of events and happenings to write about for the blog. Definitely cant wait for shorts season to start along with tank tops and easy summer style. 

It'll also be more interesting backgrounds (hopefully) for my pictures once summer starts.
